Zoo Lights

Every year we head on over to the Oregon Zoo to enjoy what they call Zoo Lights. If you have never been, you really should go! It is pretty amazing, all of the lights and light sculptures. The girls love it (and so do I)! It is beautiful and there is just so much to see. Jan (Bryan's Mom) joined us for her first zoo lights experience. It was cold but fun!

One Fish, Two Fish...

Peyton loves fish. Even as a baby, she was always fascinated and enjoyed watching fish when we would see them in a store, mall, or Dr's office. She loves to see Dorthy (Elmo's fish) on Sesame Street. So... for her 2nd birthday we bought her a little 5 gallon fish tank. She picked out 5 little Neon Tetras to start out, and we will be adding more little fish and maybe a frog soon. She loves to feed them and push her face right against the glass and watch them swim in their little school. Every morning she wants me to turn the light on in the fish tank so she can say "morning fish". She loves her fish.

Tooth number 2 was lost and has once again changed this little ladies smile.

Peyton Turns 2!

I can not believe Peyton is 2 years old! It really does feel like just yesterday we were meeting her for the first time, born 3 weeks early. A little 6 lb. baby girl has grown into a healthy toddler who is now in the 97th percentile for height and weight. She is adding to her vocabulary everyday! We have little conversations on a daily basis. She is full of energy and is such a happy girl. Peyton loves Elmo, baby dolls, stuffed animals, books, music, and cooking in her play kitchen. She loves to dance and sing and tries to copy everything Maddie does. She loves her new fish and tells them "good morning fish" each day she climbs out of bed (a little 5 gallon aquarium and fish were her birthday gift from us). I am so blessed to have this little girl in my life. She brightens my every day and I am so thankful I am her Mom.

We had a RED themed party for her on on November 15th. Everyone wore red, there were red decorations and red food. I tied in her favorite character, Elmo, here and there to add a little bit of what she really loves to the party.

Halloween

Here is a little peek into our Halloween night. (The pictures kind of go in order from last to first because for some reason the computer will not let me move the pictures around. Grrrrr!) SO, anyway Bryan was supposed to be off on Halloween, and ended up having to work. Our families came over and we had Pizza and went trick or treating. Maddie was Peter Pan, Peyton was Tinkerbell and I was a Pirate. Bry was supposed to be a pirate too. Here are just some of the pictures from the night:

Enjoying looking through all of the loot that she collected trick-or-treating.Peyton caught onto Trick-or-Treating rather quickly. She did not say "trick-or-treat" when she went up to a house. Instead she would hold open her bag and say "mine". Then she would say "nay noo" (thank you) and blow a kiss to the person handing out the candy. She caused a lot of laughs and smiles!

Bry would not let work stop him from carving 2 WONDERFUL pumpkins. I took the pumpkins to him at work and he carved Cinderella and Tinkerbell on them. He even carved the girls names in the back of the Tinkerbell pumpkin. They turned out just great!

The girls new baby cousin, Konnor. He was hungry and not happy about it. I love the look on Peyton's face. The girls wanted to hold him non stop. They love their new little cousin!

Disney On Ice

We took the girls to Disney On Ice show a couple of weeks ago. Maddie had been begging me to get tickets for this show since she heard an ad on the radio. Little did she know, I had purchased the tickets in a pre-sale months ago. So, I knew she was going to be so excited when the day came. We did not tell her or Peyton where we were going. We just had them dress up in costumes and we headed for the Rose Garden. Madison figured it out once she saw all the kids standing in line all dressed in costumes. Peyton did great for having to watch a 2 and a half hour show. She loved all of the lights, music, characters, and action. She danced and clapped her way through the first half of the show and lost interest in the second half, but still did pretty good. Thank goodness for popcorn. :) The show was a combination of the stories: The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cars, and Tinkerbell.
