YIPPEE!

I found out yesterday I am going to be an Aunt for a third time. Congratulations to my brother Ryan and sister in law Kristin! We are so excited and happy for you! Maddie and Peyton can't wait to have a little cousin in October!
They announced it at my Grandma's Birthday Party.
The ultrasound picture was my Grandma's gift.
Here's a picture of the little family.

Happy Birthday Grams!

My Grandma Sargent turned 80 yesterday! My Grandpa threw a party for her with family and friends. It was a good time.
She gave a little speech.

Opened gifts.

Received a pair of mittens and a hat for morning walks... made by my Aunt Louise

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMS! WE LOVE YOU!

Another Couple of Inches...Gone

Maddie has once again gotten her hair cut. She really wanted it to her sholders. So, I gave in.
I think it looks cute. Much easier in the mornings...less tangles are always a bonus!

Einstein, Is That You?

Peyton has the best towel dried hair! Crazy! :)

I've Been Slacking

I need to explain the lack of posts. My evenings have been full of reading! Yes I too, like many before me, have been sucked in to the Twilight series. (Jordyn, my niece, will be proud!) I just finished Twilight and have started New Moon. I can not put it down at night and when I make myself put it down I still think about it and what is going to happen next. I am really enjoying them and I have not enjoyed a good book in a long time It's kind of fun, all but the lack of sleep!:)

A Day In The Sun

Saturday was such a BEAUTIFUL day! It made me long for Spring and Summer! I just love the sun and it lifts my spirits and makes me want to get out and go. So we had a fun productive day. I went to work out in the morning and then we went to the park. We packed a picnic lunch and Bryan ran to/from the park to get his work out in. Peyton really enjoys the swings and slides. She cries when we stop swinging and wants more. Maddie is getting to the age where we do not have to help her with everything and is daring enough to climb and adventure a little more on her own. It all works out great since Peyon need full attention.

After a fun afternoon at the park Maddie and I worked on our valentines for her classmates and my class. We hand made them and cut out many hearts. I enjoy this and so does she. She's my little arts and crafts girl. She had to write her name 19 times...which is time consuming for a little person. She did finish with a positive attitude and we are both happy with how they turned out.
Maddie and I then running around town and got the groceries/items we needed. SO...all in all I think the sunshine helps me get so many things done. I wish it would have stayed a little longer then one day. Because today this is what it looks like out side: YES, SNOW AGAIN! Grrrrr.

What Do You Want To Be?

Maddie informed me of what she wants to be when she grows up. Here is what she said while we were standing in line at the library, waiting to check out:

"Mommy, I want to be a cowgirl, cheerleader, ice skater, dancer, a cooker, and a librarier" :).

I told her she is going to be one busy girl!

What's Cookin Good Lookin?

When a book order came home from Madison's Preschool I told her she could pick a book. Out of all the books, she chose a cook book for kids! I wasn't too surprised, she has always loved to help in the kitchen. So, when the book came she was so excited to get started and asked if she could cook dinner. Bryan let her pick the recipe (we narrowed it down a little for her), and he took her to the store to purchase the items on the list that we needed. In the evening she put on her apron (and put Peyton's on her too), stood on a chair, and with Bryan's help made a WONDERFUL dinner called Rainbow Beef. It was a stir fry with noodles. It was so good. She was very proud. I told her she would have to cook more often.

I ate too much! It was so yummy!

Madison's Winter Music Program

On Friday Night we went to see Madison sing with her preschool for her Winter Music Program. They sign all of the songs. She did very well and had a fan club in the audience that totaled 20 people. After the program everyone came over for cake and pie. It was a fun evening.
Maddie is the one on the top row, 2nd one in from the right. It is kinda hard to see her. Feeling like a little princess.

A New Family Member (for the Weekend)

My Niece, Jordyn, brought home a life like baby doll from school for one of her classes. It cries, needs burped, and needs diaper changes. It's head has to be elevated and it knows if you leave it to cry or neglect it or abuse in anyway. The baby will record how you did with "him" and you will receive a grade according to how well you care for the baby. I think he looks pretty real. I know it has a life like baby cry because at one point I did not know if Peyton was crying or Jordyn's baby.
I remember having to carry around an egg in high school for a "baby". Thank goodness an egg let me sleep through the night and did not have a $550 price tag on it.

Story Please

If you come and sit down on our couch Peyton will most likely go and get one of her books and expect you to read it to her. She loves books and will want you to read them over and over. It was Uncle Jon's turn when he came over on Friday.

PJ Day

At Maddie's Preschool they had Pajama day! She wore her slippers, PJ's, and bathrobe to school. They had Hot cocoa and stories, and shared their favorite stuffed animal. She seemed to have a good time.
