Madison has been reading "Nate The Great" Books for part of her nightly reading homework. I am very proud of her and how she has been reading. Here is a short chapter from her current book.

Princess Peyton
Today was a princess kind of day for Peyton. This morning she had her little friend, Grace, over for a play date. We have not seen them since November, so this was fun to catch up (for the mom's too). The girls get along so well. They are only a week apart in age and they both have very similar personalities. They just play so well together. We originally met Grace when we were taking Gymboree classes. The girls became friends immediately. Even though we are not in Gymboree any longer we do enjoy a play date every once in a while.
When Grace arrived at 9am, the girls got right down to business... Dressing up like princesses. Shoes, Dresses, jewelery the whole bit. They had so much fun! Friday, February 25, 2011
A Snow Day!
We were able to have a snow day yesterday! This is what it looked like out my kitchen window at 7AM. Beautiful. I love the peaceful, calming feeling that snow brings.
School was canceled and so we had a day to enjoy the weather. The girls were eager to get outside right away in the morning. So, I bundled them up and they played for a short while in our backyard. It was pretty cold.

It was cute how Madison described the snow. It was coming down all around us in big flakes, she said, "Mommy, it looks like we are in a snow globe."
And that it did.

Making Valentine Hearts!
The girls were able to spend the night at their Grandma and Grandpa MacKenders house just before Valentines day. They made clay heart ornaments and had fun painting them! What fun!

My Little Rabbit
If Peyton could have anything for lunch....here is what she would pick:
Cucumbers, green peppers, and oranges. Yes, she ate them all!
She is not a sandwich girl.
Thanks to Grandma, Peyton had her dream lunch.
