My Happy Girl

I just love this little toothless grin! Peyton has been getting more and more vocal lately. She Goos, and Gees, and "jibber jabbers" as if she is having a conversation. It is so fun!
She is still working on rolling over. She is getting closer. She now arches her back and will roll from side to side. I really think that if she wanted to roll over she would. I think she is avoiding it because she does not like to be on her tummy.

Madison and Peyton have created this game were Maddie will run out of sight and then run up to Peyton and get right in her face. Peyton will let out a big squeal/scream and cover her ears. This game is repeated over and over until Peyton finally goes from the laughing happy squeal to the upset mad squeal. It is so cute to see them interact with each other and Peyton enjoy the game just as much as Madison does.

Planting a Garden

This evening we started working on our garden. We planted tomatoes, zucchini, peas, beans, and transplanted a miniature blueberry plant. We also planted some sunflowers and black eyed susans around the yard. I do love that we are slowly creeping towards summer! It is always so fun to pick what we grow and see all of the yard and flowers in bloom. Madison loves to pick things (I am always receiving flowers as gifts) so the garden gives her the OK to pick the vegetables when they are ready.

Maddie also found another batch of "wormy friends". O-boy...she put a HUGE worm in her bug catcher with dirt and a "bed" made of flowers. She just knew her little worm friend would love the beautiful bed. Maddie begged Bryan to let the worm live in her bedroom. She said, "Daddy I love my little wormy friend. Meeeeese (please), can it live with me? Look, it is hugging me. I love her and she loves me! Meeeeese Dad!"

Bryan and Peyton hanging out in the yard with us.

A HUGE wormy friend.

I guess it was, sort of, hugging her. :)

I finished making all of Madison's birthday invitations and we were able to get them all passed out this week. She is having a firefighter party with all of her friends. It will be at the fire station. (don't worry family, we did not forget any of you... we are having a party with just family on a different day. Invites to come soon.:) ) Here is the picture I put on the front of her party invites. I think they turned out pretty good. I enjoyed making and personalizing them. I can't believe my baby is going to be 4! Time does fly by too fast!

Time for Bed

Peyton enjoyed a bed time story with her big sister Maddie! :)

Wii

We were really looking forward to a warm sunny day (that is what the weather man said it was going to be). We wanted to play at a park or be outside and catch some rays... it didn't happen. So we ran some errands to Target, Town Center, and to the opening day of the Oregon City Farmers market. We love to go to the farmers market. They always have music, vegetables, plants, flowers, and later will have fruit. Madison loves to get the fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade.
After running errands Caitie came over and we went grocery shopping, had dinner, and then played the Wii. Bryan has a new game... Mario Cart. You actually hook the remote into a "steering wheel" and drive the cars.
Fun with aunt Caitie.
Our day wasn't too exciting... but we were happy to be together. :)

Another Little Friend

Yes...Madison does love little creatures. Worms, salamanders, frogs.... pretty much anything that moves! We found this little friend in our yard. She played with him for an hour or so and then let him go back to his family. He sure had stories to tell. He was put into a bowl of water (to give him a bath and practice swimming), held by little hands, chased, put into a sand table, and even sailed on a wooden boat. I wonder what was going through this little froggy's head!

I bet he wished this boat was really sailing out of our yard! :)

Rainbow

It is nice to look into the sky and see a positive side to all of the rain, dark skys, and hail.
