Bryan loves to carve pumpkins. I would say it is his favorite part about Fall. So, the girls were able to help cut the tops off their pumpkins, scoop out their seeds, and pick a favorite design for each of their pumpkins. They always seem to pick a pumpkin design that goes with their costume, which I think is so fun! Bryan always stays up late and works his magic. The girls are always excited to see the finished product in the morning.
The BOO design was my choice. We grew the middle pumpkin in our garden.

Peyton's First Field Trip
Peyton, Bryan and Grampa MacKender went to Fir Point Farms for Peyton's first field trip. She was able to go on a hay ride, go down a big slide, pet animals, play in a "nut house", and pick the perfect pumpkin with all of her friends. She found her pumpkin after picking up MANY pumpkins. Bryan said she was very interested in looking under each pumpkin to find a worm, snail or bug.

Birthday Party at the Pumpkin Patch!
We went to a birthday party for 3 kiddos who are neighbors and friends. This year they had their party at Lee Farms Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day the the kids had so much fun! They were able to pet animals, go down slides, through hay mazes, on bounce houses, and on a tractor pulled ride. We decided not to pick pumpkins this time around.
We will go as a family to pick them later (Bry was working this day).
Circus 2011
We went to the Circus with my parents! It was fun, but it was a one ring circus and I was really expecting something a little bigger. I know last time we went to a circus it was 3 rings. My parents took the girls last Labor day and they said it was three rings then too. O-well.
We still had a good time. Maddie and Peyton loved seeing the elephants, dogs, horses, and even cats that did some cool tricks. I really liked the motorcycle riders in a large sphere cage. They were racing every which way without much room. It made me hold my breath.
It was fun to do something different and spend time with my parents!

Labor Day Weekend Rodeo!
Another rather late post...it has just been crazy busy since school/work has started. Once again, better late than never.
Over Labor Day weekend we headed up to Ellensburg, Washington to visit our friends Dale and Tracy. Ellensburg has a huge fair and rodeo that we were also lucky to attend. We went last year too, just Bry and I. This year we brought the girls with us and had a great weekend. This was the girls first rodeo and they were very entertained the entire time! It was great to spend time with Dale and Tracy and spend some time in little Ellensburg. Here are some highlights of our visit.

Ellensburg parade:
Highlights from the rodeo. We had box seats right in the front! AWESOME seats! We could feel the horses run by and were hit by flying dirt more than once!
Tracy and I painted the girls nails!
Petyon enjoyed picking flowers in Dale and Tracy's big yard!
We played Boche ball in the sunshine.
Smores! Yummy!
Rockin out playing Guitar Hero.
First Day Of School 2011
Yes, a little late, but here are the girls first day of school pictures. Peyton is in 3's preschool.
Madison is in 2nd grade this year.
The girls did great the first day and were excited to start the new school year!
