July 2012 - California Trip Part 2

After staying and playing in the San Francisco/Danville area we drove to San Diego, where we met up with Bryan’s parents.  The kids were so surprised and had no clue what was in store for them on this part of the trip (including that their granparents were joining us).  We enjoyed Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park, and Legoland.  The weather was beautiful and made for the perfect trip.  We also enjoyed time at the ocean where we saw seals swimming right near the beach.  Pool time at the hotel was a big hit with the girls as well!  They both love the water. 

On the very last day of our trip we drove to the American Girl store in Los Angeles.  For Madison’s birthday she asked for money to purchase an American Girl Doll.  She received enough and had been saving for about a year on top of her birthday money.  She was able to purchase McKenna… the doll of the year.  She was also able to pick out a few outfits.  The store was amazing!  It is a dream land for girls and doll lovers.  It is like a museum complete with 2 levels, a café (we didn’t eat there), a doll hospital and doll hair salon.  Peyton picked out a doll as well (she is a real mommy at heart).  She loves dolls, dressing them, and playing with them.  She picked out Julie who looks the most like her.  Julie is a very loved doll.  Both girls had their dolls ears pierced.  This trip was so fun and really a once in a lifetime experience.

We really enjoyed our California trip!
